Whole Food

Do Not Be Afraid of Fat!

-What's Whole food all about-

To keep this as simple as possible, this is a lifestyle that consists of foods that have existed for hundreds of years. Sorry Doritos and Cheetos, you did not make the cut. When you go to the grocery store, only buy foods from the outside isles. For example, produce and butcher departments are your safe haven with occasional trips to the deli department. You only need to walk down inside aisles for a few exceptions such as tea, coffee, and very few others. Look at the ingredient list of foods and make sure you can pronounce them all and know that they are good for you.  Do not be afraid to use the supercomputer in your hand to look up unknown ingredients. You will only have to look up an item one time so you can be sure that you are putting only the most nutritious foods into your body.  We recommend ewg.org or healthline.com. Do not be afraid of fat!!!  Our society has wrongly demonized saturated fats and in the process, millions of people’s health has suffered. You should be getting at least half of your daily calories from high quality fats. This means that bacon and eggs can be a staple of your everyday diet.

Ruminants Should make up the bulk of your diet

Ruminants like cows, goats and sheep are packed full of essential fatty acids and amino acids making them the most nutrient dense food on the planet

pair your protein with a healthy veggie

Including veggies allows for more variety and flavor with your meals. Asparagus, squash, onions, mushrooms and peppers are all good options

Certain fruits are allowed

This plan includes various fruit sources such as blueberries, blackberries and cherries. However, we don’t recommend anyone drink fruit juice! Fruit juice contains all the sugar without any of the fiber contained within whole fruit to help negate the blood sugar rise from eating fruit

yes rice is allowed

This plan includes various starch sources such as white rice and sweet potatoes. However, they should be limited to 25% of your entire plate maximum
