In this week’s podcast, we discuss the crazy history of the food guidelines. We were inspired by an article written by Belinda Fettke. She is the wife of an Australian Doctor named Gary Fettke (@FructoseNo) who was disciplined and subsequently silenced by the Tasmanian Medical Board for giving his patients the advice to consume a diet that was low in carbohydrates and high in fats. The fact that this happened, let alone was allowed, gave us the motivation to record this week’s podcast. We wanted to get the message out that the foundation on which the entire branch of nutrition science lies, is weak and corrupt.
